October’s child is born for woe,
And life’s vicissitudes must know,
But lay an opal on her breast,
And hope will lull those woes to rest.
Opal and tourmaline are regarded as the modern birthstones for October. Opals to be worn as birthstones for October can be either white or black with multicolor sparkles. Tourmaline is generally worn in pink or green color.
Opal symbolizes beauty and happiness of the person wearing it .It also bestows good luck to its owner. Opal has the ability to project the wearer’s energy back to the wearer. Therefore, it not for people who harbor negative thoughts because wearing opal will reflect the negativity back to them.
Opal requires a lot of care. It is very soft and thus should not be placed in an ultrasonic cleaner. Should be protected from heat and cold and it is best not to wet this stone at all. Opal is easy to crack so earrings or pendants don’t make a best choice for frequent wear.
I think this is a must-have for me..^^ October is my birth month.
